Crucifixion – Hosanna Excerpt from IBC on Vimeo.

I made this visit to the Via Dolorosa, the route that Jesus took as he carried his cross through the old city of Jerusalem to Calvary where he was crucified. In Latin, Via Dolorosa means “the way of the sorrows.”

During our recent trip to the Holy Land, we visited Caiaphas’s house in Jerusalem, located not far from the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives. Matthew 26:57 says, “Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas, the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled.”

Jesus Sweat Blood – Hosanna Excerpt from IBC on Vimeo.

We stopped off for a teaching moment in the Garden of Gethsemane on our way to the Basilica of the Agony. Luke 22:43-44 says of Jesus’s time in the garden, “And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.”

Jesus Wept – Hosanna Series Excerpt from IBC on Vimeo.

While in Jerusalem, I stopped off at a beautiful chapel located on the western slope of the Mount of Olives that commemorates the time when Jesus wept over the holy city during his Palm Sunday ride on the back of a donkey. I encourage you to read Luke 22:41-44 before you watch this clip.
